Hello there!π
This is the Spira Farms newsletter. We are the Arbyβs of vegetables, we have the beets. βοΈ
Today we are going to talk about:

Cilantro is Metal π€π§βπ€
Do you have any idea whatβs going on in your body? π€
Iβd bet probably not, most donβt. Those that do are also trying to figure it out as they go. We have a few tests that help us measure particles in our blood, but itβs not like we are testing it every single day. Yet, every single day we are eating and drinking, adding more particles in. ππ₯€
This is where eating leafy greens really comes to play. Humanβs donβt know enough about the inputs and outputs we put into ourselves, so to counteract and balance the bad, we add in the leafy greens rich in anti-inflammatories and anti-oxidants.
I didnβt really know what detox meant π
I mean, I always got the general idea, removing the bad stuff from our body. It always seemed rather βfakeβ, or some kind of sales pitch. As I educate myself, there is truth in detoxification. Iβm skeptical if you take something one time that your suddenly heavy metal free, but over long periods of time of eating certain foods, there is evidence of this happening.πͺ¨
Cilantro is metal. π€
There are a lot of articles online on cilantro growing in places of high heavy metal levels and slowly cleaning the waters over time. The same thing happens in our bodies. Eating fresh cilantro it binds to heavy metals that are in our body, namely mercury, aluminum and lead are what research has found and strip it out of our bodies. π±πͺ
Last thing on heavy metals, there are plenty of ways for them to get into your system. Our cities do a fantastic job of keeping this regulated but nothing is perfect. Well water for example comes with opportunity for trace amounts of metals to be drank. Consuming fish comes with trace amounts of mercury. We have easy ways for these things to get into us, making having a balanced lifestyle of eating leafy greens an important part of keeping us happy. ππ±
